The electric power industry is committed to protecting and advancing the safety of the industry's workforce. In the General Session Fireside Panel, participants will discuss the risks facing industry workers and contractors in utility work zones, emerging technologies, and the actions needed to reduce serious injuries and fatalities associated with work zone vehicle intrusions. The panelists will also share lessons learned and best practices from the Utility Work Zone Safety Alliance, which established with the goal of eliminating serious injuries and fatalities from work zone vehicle intrusions through stronger practices, better controls, technology advancement, and industry collaboration.
